“Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark in the hopeless swaps of the not quite, the not yet, and the not at all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. It exists. It is real. It is possible. It’s yours.”

Nowadays, I am reading poems of Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi. Here is something that I would like to share..
This world is like a tree,
and we are the half-ripe fruit upon it.
Unripe fruit clings tight to the branch
because, immature, it’s not ready for the palace.
When fruits become ripe, sweet and juicy,
then biting their lips, they loosen their hold.
When the mouth has been sweetened by felicity,
the kingdom of the world loses its appeal.
To be tightly attached to the world signifies immaturity;
as long as you’re an embryo,
blood-drinking is your business.

This is a poem I read on a friend’s wall and loved it..
Sometimes I feel I know strangers
better than I know my friends
why must a beginning
be the means to an end
The stones from my enemies
these wounds will mend
but I cannot survive
the roses from my friends
When the last word has been spoken
and we’ve bear witnessed to the final setting sun
all that shall remain is a token
of what we’ve said and done

I’ve learned a very good lesson this month and that is:
“Try to cope up with all types of people because what they protray may or may not be what they originally are and this is the bitter truth.”
Frankly, It’s a difficult thing to do. I have been training myself to be with people I do not like at all. They are not even worth a dime and whatever good you do with them, they’ll always betray you, stab you and can stoop down to hurt you.
The normal way to handle such people is to cut them off and shrug them off but it doesn’t help you to grow or learn. These people step in our lives for a reason and we should learn from them. The lessons they teach are the most valuable and we learn a lot about ourselves. I am not saying that let them be in your life forever. No. All I’m saying is that you need to know when to say good-bye to such people and when to let them stay and watch them.
When I was a kid, I used to think that life is easy but then I grew up; I realized that life is easy for those who make it easy for themselves. I do not have any interest in life. My father correctly defines my state as being “BayZar” 🙂 I know that I’m here for a reason and I want to fulfill that reason so that when I go to my Lord, he looks at me with pride and announces my success.
Anyway, the point is that in order to be successful we need to work hard and do all sorts of right stuff that are required. And in between all those things we need to meet wrong, right, sad, cruel, happy, sarcastic, bad, good, back-bitters, deceivers, nice, two-faced and all other kinds of people. They help us grow, shape and be a better person. They give us experiences that no one else could have given us. They help us appreciate all the minor things in our lives that we would not have been able to appreciate until we had gone through what we did.
So, with high hopes to be a better person each day, I start this day and pledge to learn everything that this humongous book named “life” has to offer and excel in it 🙂
